Hi everyone!
I know, I know, it's been forever! Life has been crazy busy with lots of things since I last wrote.
First off, exams are FINALLY over. Our last exam was very fair, so I'm hoping that I did alright. At the very least I felt that I knew more information than usual!
Since exams are dull and boring and stressful, I have been keeping myself busy in a number of other ways during my 'free' time.
1. Running! My classmate Erin and I have started going on walks/jogs together. We both are not runners by any means, and seem to be at the same sort of fitness level. I normally wouldn't have thought I'd be the kind of person that would enjoy exercising with someone else, but it's actually surprisingly awesome. Erin and I never seem to run out of things to chit-chat about, and it's helpful to have someone else motivating me to get out and be active. I'm hoping I can keep up the momentum when I'm in the USA, and hopefully when we get back after the summer we can get back to it!
2. Weight Watchers! I've tried the whole diet thing many times before, but this time I'm going to do it properly. I've already lost 6 lbs, and feel a lot better about what I'm eating. :) I know it's silly to proclaim this on the internet, but I feel that if I'm going to do this, I should be proud of my accomplishments and look for support from people, rather than hide it. After all, I'm not doing this in an attempt to be super skinny. I've given up on that ambition because it's unrealistic. Rather, I'm doing this to be healthy, and to help get into an active lifestyle that I can keep up. So yes. I am doing Weight Watchers, and I am proud of it!
3. Knitting! I have caught the knitting bug. One of Andrew's friend's girlfriend, Hannah, introduced me to a knitting website called
Ravelry, and I immediately joined and began searching for projects. I found an absolutely adorable jumper, and set about gathering the necessary materials.
By sheer coincidence, I walked in to class one day shortly after discovering this pattern to find my classmate,
Jessica, wearing the very same, that she'd made! I knew she'd been knitting up a storm (and she's really good at it too!), but I didn't realise she'd made the same one I'd been drooling over! Despite the fact that the jumper wont be as unique as I was originally hoping for, I decided that since mine was in a completely different colour (and truthfully, probably wouldn't turn out as good since it's my first project), that it wasn't a big deal to make the same sweater. Hopefully she feels the same. Plus, it has turned out quite useful, as Jessica was able to help me when I got stuck in the pattern!
Anyway, here's a few pics of it. I'm really proud of it so far, despite its admittedly many mistakes!

It's all coming together now!

I'll be sure to post pictures when it's all done! :)
In just 2 days I'll be heading back to the USA with Andrew, for some quality vacation time before I have to return to the real world. We're hitting up CT, NYC, Boston, and Disney World! It should be a fun-filled 3 weeks for us! I'm staying in the states for 2 more weeks to work at NCVH, and then coming back to Edinburgh to revise and do more EMS.
Anyway, it is ridiculously late (I am having problems putting the knitting needles down!), and although I'm justifying it by pretending that it might help with the impending jet lag, I really am exhausted, so I should go to sleep. Night all!
